Koqoon
When Kinnovis first contacted Elder Design Studio about the Koqoon project, they had a fantastic idea: to create an intuitive app to change how grilling enthusiasts connect with their grills. The goal was to develop a seamless digital companion for the Koqoon grilling experience, enabling users to monitor and control their grills from their mobile devices. The app has features like real-time grill control and guided recipes, offering users detailed, step-by-step instructions to help them master their grilling techniques.
Our journey began with thoroughly analyzing Kinnovis’s original app designs and color schemes. This groundwork helped us chart a path to enhance the user experience while staying true to Koqoon’s brand identity. Using Figma as our collaborative tool, we refined the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), creating a visually appealing layout that speaks directly to Koqoon’s passionate BBQ audience. Each phase of our work sought to balance functionality and aesthetics, ensuring that users would be engaged and find the app practical and easy to use.
To make the app feel as vibrant as the grilling experience, we designed custom icons and animated loaders that enhance usability while adding an element of fun. Each interaction feels meaningful, turning even the most minor task into an enjoyable moment. With tools like Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, we created smooth animations that guide users through the app, offering visual cues that make every step—from setting up the grill to controlling it—intuitive and satisfying.
The result is a solid, user-friendly app that integrates seamlessly with the Koqoon grill, elevating the overall grilling experience.This project showcases Elder’s passion for creating digital solutions that blend design with purpose, transforming every BBQ into a delightful and seamless adventure.
