Ten days to institutional credibility.

A newly founded NGO needed a complete visual identity and a live website before their first partnership conversation. We delivered both, while building the foundation for everything that comes next.

What we did

Brand Design · Logo Design · Memorandum · UI & UX Design · Website development

What we achieved

10 days from kickoff to launch · 5 parallel workstreams · fully bilingual platform · scalable architecture for future Learning Management System integration

The Reality

They had a window. Not a runway.

Foresight Europe had just been established as a strategic NGO focused on EU- funded foresight, sustainable development, and innovation policy. The founding team knew exactly what they stood for, but they had no visual identity, no website, and an upcoming engagement that required both.

In the world of institutional partnerships, credibility is the product.

You must look like you belong in a consortium conversation. Relying on a generic logo or template website not only undermines your presence but also directly weakens the organization's positioning.

EU projects don’t wait for design cycles. Neither do partners, tenders, or stakeholders. Everything had to be aligned from day one.

The brief was clear: ten days, full brand, live website. No compromises on quality, because the first impression here was the only impression that mattered.

The Shift

We immediately addressed the brief by collapsing brand, structure and development into a parallel workflow.
We stopped thinking of this as a sequential project and began treating it as a dependency map.

Complexity isn’t the problem.
Unclear decisions are.

The key insight was simple: every approved decision had to unlock the next layer instantly. The logo direction unlocked the hi-fi design. The hi-fi design unlocked the final development push. Get the order right and ten days becomes enough.

Three strategic decisions shaped the outcome.

1 Position for governance, not trends. Most sustainability-adjacent organizations fall into the trap of overused green leaves, globes, and generic icons. To build institutional authority, we shifted the visual narrative toward structural innovation and methodological rigor: a palette that signals credibility, not activism.
2 Visuals work perfectly once the system is defined. Before refining aesthetics, we locked the information architecture and content hierarchy. The moment a direction was approved, code was already in motion. Waiting was not a phase.
3 Future-proof from day one. The immediate requirement was a sharp one-pager, but the infrastructure had to be ready for what comes next: eLearning integration, event registration, resource hubs, restricted-access content. We built the foundation before the house existed.

The Build

We worked across five phases on a single timeline, with zero hand-off gaps between them.

Phase I – Logo design

Three fully developed logo directions, each built around a distinct conceptual position rather than three variations of the same idea. Each was presented in context, applied to institutional materials, showing how it holds up at scale and at small size.
Colour palette was set simultaneously: tones that signal credibility without generic sustainability clichés.

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma.

Phase II – Lo-fi site architecture

While the logo exploration was underway, the site structure was mapped, and low-fidelity layouts were drafted in Figma. This removed an entire sequential step from the timeline.

Phase III – Final visual identity presentation

Complete brand system delivered for client approval: logo, color system, typography, and primary applications, including memorandum design.

Phase IV – Hi-fi website design

High-fidelity UI design, structured for deep clarity among multiple stakeholder groups: EU project partners, academic institutions, donors and the wider public.

Bilingual architecture (English and Serbian) was built directly into the core navigation.

Phase V – Custom development and launch

A fully custom-built solution, no generic page-builders, no bloated templates. Code infrastructure ran in parallel from day one. Final deployment followed approval with no added delay.

Waiting was not a phase.

Clean under the hood

The platform was built as a fully custom solution. We integrated a multilingual architecture (Serbian and English) into the navigation and implemented a CMS so the client can update content independently.

Because code infrastructure ran in parallel with the branding phase from day one, the architecture is structurally ready for future modular growth, allowing seamless integration of eLearning environments, event registration, and resource sections without requiring a redesign.

Impact

A brand that opens doors.

Foresight Europe entered its first partnership conversations with a complete, credible brand: a website, a logo system, and institutional documents that matched the seriousness of its positioning.

Instead of launching with a generic, rushed template, they launched with a polished, authoritative digital presence. When they presented their platform to foreign stakeholders and EU project networks, their brand communicated strategic weight and institutional trust, not a rushed deadline.

The architecture was designed to grow. Future phases (eLearning integration, event registrations, resource hubs etc.) can be added without rebuilding. The foundation is already there.

The result is custom from the ground up. In institutional environments, that distinction is visible.

A European partner reviewing the organization’s materials can feel the difference between something built for them and something assembled from parts.

This is the kind of full-stack engagement Elder was built for: brand, design, and development moving as one system, not three separate handovers.

The Reality Check

The hardest part wasn’t the deadline.

We initially planned a standard phased delivery: identity first, then web. But early in the process, it became clear: this wasn’t a branding problem. It was a structural clarity problem.

We collapsed the phases into a single synchronized workflow, spinning up code infrastructure in parallel from day one, without waiting for the final logo – and that decision defined everything that followed.

Key takeaways:

  • Speed is not about working faster. It’s about removing handovers between decisions.
  • When brand, structure, and development move together, timelines stop being linear.
  • You have to know exactly what decision unblocks the next one, and make that decision first.

Get the order right and ten days becomes enough.

You don't need a slower process. You need absolute clarity. If your project demands high-stakes execution on an uncompromising timeline, we should talk.
